In my Micro Aquarium this was the neatest organism i viewed. This organism is the Cyclops i reported viewing in week four.
This week in my lab the organisms I viewed was unbelievable. There was so much more things going on this week than in the three weeks leading up to this.
The first thing I viewed was there was a ton of shelled rotifers. There was so many this week, in comparison to the weeks before. The rotifers were a lot bigger this week and there was a lot more of them. The second thing i viewed was a whole lot of Polyeoriopsis, this is a algae. These organisms are in the shape of a box with three strands on each of the sides of the box, being 12 total strands. I also reported seeing two more types of algae. I viewed a Micractinium this is an organisms with five to six balls in the center with five to six long strands "poll like" stretching out of the center of the organisms. Actinastrum was the most apparent type of algae I viewed. This had a ball like center with five to six strands coming out of it, this object resembled a star.
A new organism I viewed this week that i have not viewed in the pass was a Micro Invertebrates it was a Cyclops, a copecod. It was a organism that had two tentacles coming out of its head, in the center of its head it had two light receptors but these were so close to together it just looked like one, this is were they get the name Cyclops.
There were a lot of diatoms present this week also. I also viewed a Amoebaproteus this was a long oddshaped blue green organism.
Something i viewed this week that was on familiar to myself or Dr. McFarland was a strand of what appeared to be a brownish bacteria. This was in a swarm like substance. This also could have been Flagnlates, we could not tell completely because of the lack of the ability to see the object up close.
Finally in the Micro Aquarium all of the leaves on the algae were dead or dying, the leaves were all blue and purple in coloring.
There were many neat and interesting things I viewed in the four weeks spent on this term project. I have learned a lot of information with a more hands on approach.
In the lab viewing this week i noticed a lot of different things going on. The first major difference I viewed right from the start was the leaves were starting to die along the algae. There was many Micro Invertebrates Philodina, "shelled Rotifer. These organism were all moving in a fast jerking motion forwards. There is a whole lot more than I reporting seeing in last weeks views. There is also a few more ParaMecium these organism have flagella all over their body helping them move. The Micro Aquarium this week had a lot more going on in it this week because of the amount of Rotifers viewed and the amount of algae present, these were the two major differences I viewed in my lab this week

In my second week of viewing my micro aquarium i found many new and interesting discoveries different from my first week! As soon as i put the slide on the microscope I immediately discovered two different types of Rotifers. The first type was a Ostracoda, this is also commonly known as a seed shrimp. This is a tiny organism that jerked in a very fast motion forwards. The organism had a tiny claw or "pincher" on the head of it. The other type of rotifer i saw was a common rotifer it was a circular body and moved in a very common jerking motion.
I also viewed a lot of paramecium's, this organism was a longer, circulate figure with a lot of cilia or flagella all along the body. This object did not appear to move until forced to by me, by tapping on the slide. Once I would tap on the side the organism would spin and move a couple millimeters very fast and quick. The overall viewing of these organisms was a lot more than the first viewing, there seemed to be a lot more organisms in the micro aquarium.

In the most recent viewing of the water parasites, i viewed many things that I would never have imagined seeing. The first thing i saw was a "Tachhysoma", this organism was a free living meaning it would swim and move all over. It moved it a very odd way by gliding and then jerking, this was the only organism I viewed that jerked while moving. Another very interesting organism I witnessed was a "Desmid. The Desmid was a "Closterium" this organism was a elongated strand that was in two pieces stuck together at the center. This organism also swam freely but not a fast and quick as the "Tachysoma." The most interesting organism I viewed had the Phylum of Ciliphora the class of Spirotrichia an d the genus of Halteria. The organism had a round brownish body composed of many cells. The organism moved in a very strange way, it moved in a circular motion. It would just spin around very fast as it was moving. These three organism I witnessed were all so different in many different ways such as swimming, and body arrangements. These organisms were very fun and interesting objects.
